SAY HELLO!

"Using elements in nature with biomimicry to bring a settled warmth and comfort to your space."

- Wendy Snelgrove, Principal Designer

"I grew up settling the spaces in my world.

We lived on a farm in Kitchener Waterloo with my grandparents.

They were my inspiration

for living a SETTLED life!

But we moved away when I was 6 years old.

My mother was a creative knitter, baker, sewer and writer.  But she had three doilies under every ornament and in each room the corners displayed a piece of furniture on an angle, even the piano! As soon as I was old enough to push things into a straight position, I did.  I rearranged the furniture, the art on the walls and her bookshelves.  We didn't have a lot, but the few antique accessories found well-placed homes that showcased their beauty.  I hid the doilies under the couch cushions!  And I gave her one rule to follow.

"Only one piece in a room was allowed to be on an angle".

She loved how I designed and decorated each space and after a new configuration was complete, she'd say, "Oh --I like it this way too!'"

We'd bake chocolate chip cookies and dip them in milk after weeding our acres of vegetable gardens.

From the front entrance to the back door, our 11 houses after that one,

were always perfectly simple, clean and settled.

That is when my design career began.  I hope I have the opportunity to help you SETTLE your physical space too! "
